Keong Saik Snacks/ The Library was designed for Michelin star chef Jason Atherton and Singaporean hotelier and restaurateur Loh Lik Peng.

The materials chosen are warm and textured: copper, wood and rusted mesh. We wanted craftsmanship to form an integral part of the space’s identity in the same way that the dishes speak of detail, texture and warmth - an interplay on the traditional copper used in kitchens.

The main bar has been carefully shaped with layers of copper cladded and riveted together. Bar stools are custom-designed and handmade. The backless bar stools are intended to encourage social interaction between customers while the double stools create a sense of intimacy.
