The client approached us with a brief to design a 3-star hotel for their portfolio of hospitality projects. The hotel, located in Jember, East Java, spans across 10 floors with 115 rooms, banquet halls and a swimming pool. The hotel is a part of a massive mixed-use building comprising of a hospital, school and mall.

Drawing inspiration from the city, this project aims to maximize the use of locally available materials, utilizing naturally available wood and stone to design numerous elements within the project. The mood boards of the various spaces in the project aim to capture the essence space - contemporary while retaining traditional elements within the design.

Stretching across 8 floors, the building’s façade has an impactful presence within the city. With the help of a solar study analysis, the panels of the façade were designed to provide optimum shading. The perforations within the panels allow guests to look out into the city while lending a distinct character to the building.
